  • ABS/Wheel Speed Sensor

    $137.00

It’s generally rare for a wheel speed sensor to go bad, but it does happen. When a wheel speed sensor goes bad, it can cause a series of error messages related to the traction control.

This part is called both an ABS Sensor and a Wheel Speed Sensor. Both terms refer to this item.

  • Brake Caliper Bolts (4-piston)

    $9.50

The bolts used to mount your brake calipers should be replaced with new ones if you remove your calipers. These are the bolts for 4-piston brake calipers with iron brake rotors (not CCM/Carbon brake rotors). The bolts used for the 6-piston calipers and for carbon-rotor brake systems are slightly different.

One order contains four bolts, so one order will contain enough bolts for one pair of calipers.

  • Brake Caliper Bolts (6-piston)

    $33.00

The bolts used to mount your brake calipers should be replaced with new ones if you remove your calipers. These are the bolts for 6-piston brake calipers and calipers used for carbon/CCM brake rotors.

One order contains four bolts, so one order will contain enough bolts for one pair of calipers.

  • Brake Pad Wear Sensors (front)

    $39.00

These sensors warn you when your brake pads get too low. The warning is triggered when the sensor is sheered by the brake rotor. That means that once you get a warning light from one of these sensors, the sensor has to be replaced.

These OEM items are sold individually.

  • Brake Pad Wear Sensors (rear)

    $46.00

These sensors warn you when your brake pads get too low. The warning is triggered when the sensor is sheered by the brake rotor. That means that once you get a warning light from one of these sensors, the sensor has to be replaced.

These OEM items are sold individually.

  • Brake Rotor Retention Bolts

    $1.95

Brake rotor retention bolts. OEM items from Aston Martin, in stock at Redpants and ready to ship! If you remove your brake rotors, I highly recommend using new brake rotor retention bolts during reinstallation – it’s cheap insurance to reduce the chance of stripped hardware.

These are sold in packs of 4, which is enough for one pair of rotors. If you’re doing all four rotors, you’ll need to order two packs of these retention bolts.

Hawk HPS 5.0 Brake Pads (1990)

    $238.00

Hawk’s HPS 5.0 pad is an updated compound based on their popular HPS pads. They produce less dust and noise than Aston Martin’s OEM Pagid pads but can still handle track duty in cars with the larger 380mm brake rotors. These are a great brake pad for people that drive aggressively, and for people that do track days and don’t want to bother with dedicated track pads.

They do have more brake dust than the Porterfield R4-S but I think it’s a reasonable amount, and the Hawk HPS 5.0 pads can handle abuse beyond the capabilities of the Porterfield R4-S. With proper installation and bedding-in, the HPS 5.0 does not squeal.

    Porterfield R4 Brake Pads (1001)

    $187.00

These R4 pads are the racing version of Porterfield’s R4-S brake pads. The R4 pads are built to handle track duty and racing, but aren’t ideal for street driving. Yes, they can handle it and aren’t terrible when cold, but they do make a LOT of noise and dust!

The product image comparing the new R4 pad to the used R4-S pad shows show the complete lack of chamfering on the R4 pad. The chamfering ensures the R4-S pads are smooth and silent, but reduces the surface area of the pad. While this is design is ideal for street use, the reduced surface area limits this pad’s ability to handle track duty. The R4, on the other hand, sacrifices quiet road manners for outright braking performance by having a more aggressive pad compound and maximum surface area.

    Porterfield R4-S Brake Pads (1165)

    $153.00

If you’re using your car for normal or spirited driving and want the best dust-free pads around, look no further than the Porterfield R4-S. These pads have an absurdly low level of dust and are incredibly quiet, making them ideal for someone that doesn’t need to worry about aggressive driving or track days.

The product image comparing the new R4 pad to the used R4-S pad show show heavily chamfered the R4-S is. The chamfering ensures the R4-S pads are smooth and silent, but reduces the surface area of the pad. While this is design is ideal for street use, the reduced surface area limits this pad’s ability to handle track duty.

A great way to handle both easy street driving and hardcore track days is to have a set of both the R4-S and R4 pads, and swap between as needed for street and track use.

    Porterfield R4-S Handbrake Pads

    $85.00

Redpants worked directly with Porterfield to solve a common complaint from Aston Martin owners: the chirping sound that sometimes comes from the parking brakes at very low speeds. Not only are these pads chamfered to prevent that chirping, they’re also made from Porterfield’s incredibly popular R4-S compound!

These are sold as a set of four pads, so only one order is needed per car.

  • Wilwood Brake Rotor Rebuild Kit

    $2,350.00

One of the benefits of 2-piece brake rotors is that they can usually be rebuilt at a much lower cost than it’d be to get a full replacement set.

One order includes brake rotors for all four corners: two front and two rear rotors, and bolts to mount the new rotors to your existing rotor hats. The aluminum hats (centers) are not included.

  • Wilwood Brake Rotors

    $2,815.00

These two-piece slotted brake rotors shed rotating, unsprung weight, giving you quicker acceleration and more responsive turn-in. If you’re looking to get the most out of your car, these are a great upgrade. If you’re on the fence about them, they’re a great “maintenance upgrade” – an alternative to the OEM rotors when those need replacing.

One order includes brake rotors for all four corners: two front and two rear rotors, aluminum hats (the centers) for all four, and bolts to mount the rotors to the hats.

These are a Special Order item. Shipment depends on availability.
