Motul 8100 X-Max 0w40 engine oil

Motul makes some awesome fluids, and their engine oil is a great alternative to the OEM oil. It’s fully-synthetic and meets or beats all factory requirements.

This engine oil is suitable for Aston Martin’s naturally-aspirated 5.9L V12 and AMG-based 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engines that require 0w40 engine oil. It is not suitable for the naturally-aspirated 4.3L or 4.7L V8 engines that require 10w60 engine oil.

Order quantities:
An oil change for a Gaydon-era V12 Aston Martin requires 11L of Motul X-Max 0w40.
An oil change for the 4.0L twin-turbo AMG engine requires 9L of Motul X-Max 0w40.
I recommend buying an extra liter or two to keep on hand for topping off as needed between service intervals.
