  • AMR Twin Plate Clutch Package

    $4,100.00

This package includes the clutch, flywheel, slave cylinder, spacer, and bolts.

This fits all V8 Vantages MY13 and earlier. For MY14 and later, a core exchange is required for the torque tube (please contact me for details).

This clutch package is for the manual transmission only. Aston Martin have not certified this clutch package for the Sportshift transmission. Using this clutch package with a Sportshift transmission is at your own risk.

  • Castrol BOT270A Gear Oil (1L)

    $47.00

This is Aston Martin’s factory fill for their manual and SportShift transaxles. It was developed bespoke for Aston Martin by Castrol to alleviate the cold-shift issues that many owners complained about with the original Shell transaxle oil.

For a full write-up on how to change the gear oil in an Aston Martin’s transaxle, check out this DIY Guide.

This gear oil is suitable for manual and Sportshift transmissions. It is not automatic transmission fluid (ATF) and should not be used in automatic transmissions.

  • Clutch Package (V8 Vantage, Sportshift)

    $3,350.00

OEM clutch package for the V8 Vantage with Sportshift transmission.

This kit includes the clutch, flywheel, slave cylinder, bolts, and gaskets needed for a complete clutch job on a V8 Vantage with Sportshift transmission. The clutch is the standard single-plate clutch and the flywheel is also standard (not lightweight).

  • DAE Sportshift/ASM Hose Kit

    $460.00

One of the main issues with the Sportshift transmission in the V8 and V12 Vantage is that, over time, its hoses can start to leak. When this happens, the loss of pressure leads to the system not being able to operate properly and then… the transmission goes into a failsafe mode and refuses to operate.

Luckily, the guys over at David Appleby Engineering (DAE) in England have gotten this issue sorted and made a set of hoses at a higher specification than the originals, giving Sportshift owners the solution and ongoing peace of mind they need to enjoy their cars.

  • DBS Shift Knob

    $1,555.00

The mack-daddy of Aston Martin shift knobs, this bad boy is machined from a single piece of aluminum. It’s big and weighty and provides a little easier shifting due to that weight.

Originally fitted in the DBS and later in the V12 Vantage, this shift knob fits all 2005-and newer V8 Vantage, V12 Vantage, DB9, and DBS cars with a manual transmission. It will also fit the V12 Vantage S with the 7-speed “dogleg” manual, however the 6-speed shift pattern shown on this knob will not match the shift pattern of that car.

If you’re installing it yourself, here’s a DIY guide.

  • Gear Oil Change Package

    $7.00$67.00

Cheap and easy insurance to help prevent gear oil leak! Washers and O-rings should always be replaced after they’ve been removed from a car, and that’s the case when replacing the gear oil (AKA transmission fluid) in your Aston Martin’s gearbox. Check the Ordering Options below for more information.

For a full write-up on how to change the gear oil in an Aston Martin transaxle, check out this DIY Guide.

There are two options for the 7-speed transmissions. Scroll down for an explanation of which kit fits each transmission.

Gear oil (transmission fluid) is sold separately.

  • Motul Gear 300

    $28.00

This Motul alternative costs about 1/3 the price, making it another way to help keep Aston Martin ownership costs down. If you do the job yourself, you’ll save even more. The bottles for both Motul Gear 300 and Castrol BOT270A have an extending nozzle, so you can fill your gearbox without a pump!

    Sold in 1L bottles.

This gear oil is suitable for manual and Sportshift transmissions. It is not automatic transmission fluid (ATF) and should not be used in automatic transmissions.

  • VelocityAP Twin-Plate Clutch Package

    $2,795.00$5,390.00

One of the best upgrades available for a V8 Vantage is getting a dual-plate clutch and lightweight flywheel. I’ve talked about the benefits extensively over the years, but here’s a quick summary if you haven’t seen or heard my ranting and raving:

    • Better throttle response
    • More power to the wheels
    • Longer clutch life
    • Lighter clutch pedal (manual)
    • Smoother shifts (Sportshift)

This package includes the clutch, flywheel, slave cylinder, spacer, and bolts. I highly recommend an engine tune along with the clutch since the throttle response benefits stack when using both, but the tune is not required for use with this clutch package. The purpose of the engine tune is to further enhance the performance of your Aston Martin, and using it in tandem with this clutch package provides a remarkable improvement to the car.

Note: The product images show both the original product and the current design. The current design is functionally the same as the original design.
